FAQs

How long is a session?

A standard one-on-one session lasts 50 minutes.
Some clients prefer longer sessions during emotionally heavier periods which we can arrange together.

How often should I come?

I recommend starting with weekly sessions to build stability and momentum.
Later, we can move to bi-weekly or monthly check-ins, depending on your needs and goals. There is no “one right rhythm”, we decide together.

Do you work with insurance?

At the moment, therapy is self-paid and not reimbursed by insurance.
Many clients choose this on purpose since it gives us complete freedom.
We are not limited by diagnostic labels, fixed treatment protocols, or the number of sessions allowed by insurance.
Instead, we can work in a way that fits your pace, your story, and the complexity of what you’re navigating.

What if the therapy feels intense or emotionally demanding?

It’s completely normal to feel tired or stirred after a session.
Therapy touches places that have often been quiet for a long time. We move at a pace that feels grounded for you, and you’re always welcome to bring up how therapy feels which represents a part of the work itself.

These reactions are not a negative sign. They usually mean that something is shifting, processing, or coming into awareness. When deeper layers begin to move, the body and mind respond and that response often tells us we’re entering meaningful territory.

Do I need to prepare for sessions?

No. Some clients come with a clear topic, others arrive unsure or overwhelmed.
Both are fine. My role is to help you slow down, make sense of what’s present, and find language for what feels unclear.

Can I start therapy even if I’m not sure what the “problem” is?

Absolutely!
Many people come because something feels “off,” heavy, or confusing, without having a clear explanation. Therapy helps you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and what your inner life is trying to show you.

What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance.
Sessions cancelled later than that are charged in full. This policy helps keep the schedule steady and respectful for all clients.

How do I know if therapy with you is the right fit?

Therapy works best when you feel safe and understood. The first session is a good moment to explore whether my approach fits you. There is no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel right.

Do you work online or in person?

Currently, all sessions are online, which works well for clients living abroad, travelling frequently, or balancing demanding schedules.
Online sessions still allow for depth, presence, and continuity.

Do you speak English or Slovene?

I work in English and Slovene, depending on what feels most natural for you.
